Helpful tips for your move

Filter through your belongings and discard unnecessary items before the Seaside Removals team arrive. This will help reduce the overall costs of your move and ensure a smoother process of relocating your household furniture. Don't forget to refer to our moving checklist for additional tips on how to prepare for your house move.

Bonus tip: Prepare your furniture

Take proper care of your furniture prior to the moving day by wrapping it. Utilize stretch wrap, stretch foil, or bubble wrap to safeguard your household furniture from any potential damage or scratches. Remember, it's your responsibility to ensure the well-being of your furniture during the move.
When the Seaside Removals team parks at a significant distance from your home, it can result in increased service costs due to the additional time required to transfer your belongings into the moving van. To avoid this, it is advisable to plan ahead and arrange a convenient parking space as close to your house as possible.

Bonus tip: Prepare an essentials bag

Compile a list of essential items you'll need throughout the relocation process and pack them in a bag that you'll keep with you.
We strongly suggest packing your essentials bag a few hours prior to departing from your old location. This way, you'll have everything you need conveniently accessible in your handbag.
After the Seaside Removals team has unloaded the final box of your belongings, it's time to begin the unpacking process. Begin with the essential items, leaving the less important household furniture and boxes for the next day if necessary. If you need assistance in unpacking your homeware and furniture, our team is ready to lend a hand!

Bonus tip: Unpack systematically

Avoid chaotic unpacking. Instead, start by unpacking smaller rooms before moving on to larger ones. This methodical approach will save you time and effort, as you'll be unpacking with a clear plan in mind.
